The Simple Things!

Today I decided to join in on celebrating the Simple Things. I chose to post about my sweet little man, Tyson!
He is my baby, and he is growing way too fast. While I am always excited for their independance and growth, it makes me sad to see the last one already past babyhood and now swiftly moving through the toddler years. As soon as he turns 4, he is officially a big boy (even though many people already think he is 4).
So here's to capturing a sweet 3 year old boy in his element. He LOVES cars...like LOVES!!
(I painted these old tires to add some fresh props for this upcoming photography season)

This represents his Love for cars.

He has a very funny and silly side

and his serious side.

I LOVE my Tyson. He brings me such joy! I hope he always loves his Mom!

I can't seem to find the "Simple Things" button, so I will add a link instead.

The Simple Things...

My cousin, Rebecca, is a super amazing lady with a super amazing blog and super amazing talent (I promise, I will not use the words super amazing so many times in a blog post ever again, lol)

She has a fun challenge on her blog that I'm sure lots of you already follow. It is all about capturing some of those simple things during your week. Join in if you'd like.
Here is my entry:
The reason I love this photo so much, is not for any technical reasons. I don't feel that from a photographers standpoint, this turned into a crisp, perfectly lit shot. From a Mothers standpoint however, this is perfection. 9 year old boys tend to get less cuddly and more independant during these years. He had been playing hard during the day. Came in when his friends had to go, and was asking me what he could do now because he was bored without them. I was distracted with some of the other kids talking to me, and 2 minutes later I was going to suggest something and turned around to find him asleep on the couch, legs in sweater, hand in pocket with hood on. He continued to sleep in this position for at least an hour. I don't know what it is about sleeping pictures, but they are some of my favourites. Maybe it's because all defenses are down, no fake camera faces, and they just look sweeter.....okay, so the silence in the house may have something to do with it too.
